Hello there!
I have some progress after three weeks of frantically packing - doing nothing - trying to return to reality.
sc~dc 9: Needle felting? YES
Hello there!
It may look like I have spent little time on crafts. But I gotta assure you, the one and only FO took hours.
sc~dc 8: A new skill on the way
Hello there!
Changing the schedule to bi-weekly works fine for me. And there is progress I can show, so ~ yay!
sc~dc 7: Blocked by WIPs
Hello there!
I missed another week of sc~dc. And it will be a regular thing from now on. I realized that I was too ambitious - I do not have enough progress to show every single week that would be interesting. So, instead of boring you, I will scale down the schedule.
sc~dc 6: Sleeping WIPs and postcards
Hello there!
I did not post sc~dc last week because it would be empty. I had to prioritise different things other than crafts. Most of the week, I was at work till the evening and was not even home during the weekend.
sc~dc 5: Slow but steady
sc~dc 4: Knitting disaster
sc~dc 3: A new ami on the hook
sc~dc 2: Entering new territory
Hello there again!
Today’s post should resemble the usual episode, so let’s dive right in.
sc~dc 1: Ending the year with plans
Hello, dear viewer, if you haven’t, please like and consider subsribing. I am just kidding, but that’s basically where I come from. After watching so many wonderful and inspiring people on YouTube, I’ve decided to start my own “blogcast”. And what better time to pick than a new year and shove another resolution down my laundry list.
I want this to be about yarn crafts, postcards and occasionally other stuff. If you haven’t guessed by the name of the blogcast, I am a crocheter and that is currently my main crafty outlet.
The Deadpool pillow
I started learning tunisian crochet to make pixel art. And the time has come to test my ability.
Going back to the 80s: Tunisian simple bag
As I dipped my toes into the tunisian waters, I wanted to make something larger but still simple. And I had this beautiful rainbow skein.
Getting into tunisian crochet
I was looking for some way how to create pictures with crochet. I scoured the internet and found so many techniques, but none gave me satisfactory results - apart from maybe the bobble stitch pixel art; I didn’t even try that one because I can’t do the stitch without going insane.
Somewhere on Reddit, I found someone mentioning that the tunisian simple stitch is perfect for pixel art because the stitches are on top of each other and are more or less squarish. So I gave it a go, and this was the widest swatch I could make with my short hook:
